Stereotypy phenomena as a sociocultural construction present on the one hand a didactic interest connected with the role they play in the construction of a common culture as is targeted by school and on the other hand a negative value due to their oversimplifying aspect which may hinder the learning process, hide the complexity of reality or hamper access to school culture. The sequence on writing poetry analysed in this article starts with an observation of homogenization, in the form of stereotypization, revealed by the way pupils write and consider poetry and at once, it illustrates the simplistic impact of the phenomenon. Rather than depreciating homogenization the author shows that when it is combined with taking into account and enhancing heterogeneousness, partly concealed by this homogenization, it favours the construction by every pupil of a personal mode of writing, questioned and more explicitly dialogic.
