L'auteur aborde successivement deux questions solidaires concernant l'éducation à la morale, au civisme, à l'éthique. La première se situe au niveau des pratiques permettant à l'école (classes, établissements) d'être un lieu d'apprentissage citoyen. La deuxième, sur un plan plus philosophique, aborde la problématique même de la possibilité aune éducation aux valeurs humanistes universelles. Il apparaît que l'usage fait du « règlement intérieur » régissant la vie scolaire d'un établissement peut être un instrument de sensibilisation des élèves à leurs droits et devoirs dans une communauté mais qu'au-delà du problème de la pertinence d'une éducation aux valeurs éthiques se pose celui d'une éducabilité éthique.


The author tackles successively two related questions concerning the teaching of morals, civics and ethics. The first one is part of the practices which allow schools to be a place where civic responsibilities are taught. The second one, in a more philosophical way, deals with the question of making the teaching of universal humanistic values possible. It appears that the use of the "School Rules" which preside over the life or a school can be a good means of making the pupils aware of their rights and duties in a community; however, beyond the problem of the relevance of the teaching of ethical values, the problem of the ability to teach and learn ethics arises.
