En relevant les apports particulièrement significatifs des textes qui composent l'ouvrage « Éthique, épistémologie et sciences de l'homme », cet article fait apparaître l'imbrication des problèmes épistémologiques et les problèmes éthiques qui font la spécificité des sciences humaines. Ces sciences se développent dans et par l'interaction ente les chercheurs et les acteurs, la confrontation de leurs représentations respectives et de leurs engagements réciproques. Leur démarche investigatrice, soumise aux exigences logiques et méthodologiques de toute science, ne peut s'accomplir et prendre sens que dans le respect de l'intimité et de l'identité des sujets concernés.


This paper emphasizes the most significant contributions of the texts which make up the book “Ethics, Epistemology and Social Sciences”, so as to bring out the interweaving of epistemological and ethical problems which constitute the specificity of social sciences. These sciences develop in and through the interaction between the researchers and the actors, the confrontation of their respective representations and their mutual commitments. Their research action, relying on the logical and methodological requirements of any science can only be carried out and take meaning in the respect of the intimacy and identity of the concerned subjects.
