La formation envahit le champ des discours et des pratiques pédagogiques. N'est-ce qu'une question de mode ou de mot ? Ou au contraire, faut-il voir là l'émergence de problématiques nouvelles ? En refusant les facilités de l'inflation verbale (tout est formation I) et celles du réductionnisme (la formation réduite à son aspect strictement professionnel !), on tente de dégager le propre de la formation par référence aux concepts traditionnels de la philosophie de l'éducation.


Education is a term which is invading the field of teaching theories and practices. Is it merely a matter of fashion or vocabulary? Or on the contrary is it a sign of the emergence of new research areas? By resisting the temptations of both verbal inflationism (everything is education) and reductionism (education limited to its strictly vocational aspect), the author tries to bring out the essence of education in reference to the traditional concepts of the philosophy of education.
