This paper is the outcome of a research work carried out among a hundred second year (DEUG) students in psychology in a Paris university. The idea was to get to know the students' point of view on the professors' teaching and, more generally to assess the human relationship between students and professors. The results point out that the students do not lack material or technical means as much as teaching supervision. They complain about lectures which are too abstract (they bear no relation with the practice of psychologists) and are little linked with one another. The professors are often perceived as cold, haughty, sometimes scornful and lecturing without caring about the way their courses are received. These results foster a general critical reflexion on the teaching organisation of the DEUG and on the links between theory and practice.
